Making Those To-Do Lists Look Attractive in Your Home

Okay, we all love Pinterest, am I right? Well, some of you have probably loved it for much longer than I have. I created an account over six months ago, and then let it sit. I did nothing with it. I never even looked at other pins! I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS MISSING! Of course, now that I have discovered it, my house is a total craft war zone, so I'm sure my husband and kids are especially appreciative of the fact that I didn't look into it until a few weeks ago. And boy, have I got things to do!

One of the things I have been seeing a lot are the dry erase To Do boards using a picture frame. I've seen a few different styles out there, but ended up settling with one I thought would work best for me in my home. I love the idea of having my lists displayed - it keeps me in check to make sure I don't forget anything - and also keeps me making sure I am not just being lazy (the husband sees the list if it's out in the open, therefore, I'm essentially making him hold me accountable to get it done that day so he can't ask why I didn't get it done. Hehe. Yes, I have to find ways to make myself be responsible.) Anyway...if I'm going to have something out in the open, I want it to look attractive. And not only that, to go with the decor in my home. The last thing I want is to make something that ends up just looking like tacky clutter in the house. If people are going to see the things I have to do, they can at least admire the way I did it instead of concentrating on the things I have on my list.

Enough talk. Here's what I did:

P.S. That's the hubs dutifully holding up my frame so I can take a picture. Isn't he a sweetie? And please disregard  the cans in the background waiting to be taken for recycling. ;-)
